Driver Requirements and Conditions
All drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license
The Dodge Viper has a manual (stick) transmission. Drivers must be proficient in the operationin operation of manual transmission. We encourage learning on the track but not at the expense of my clutch and transmission.
No alcoholic beverages of any kind at permitted prior or during events. No substances are permitted that could cause impairment of any kind (cannabis, etc). Do not come to an event hungover. This is a zero tolerance policy. Violators will be removed from the event without refund. Please notify the administrator if you have prescribed medications to ensure you are fit to perform at an event.
Helmets are required for all events. It is preferred that all drivers bring their own helmet (SA 2015 or newer). Please notify an administrator if you are unable to bring your own helmet and we can arrange a helmet rental. Ear protection is highly recommended.
Drivers must have closed toed shoes. Auto racing shoes are highly recommended. If you do not have racing shoes then please wear thin (less wide) shoes as most racing vehicles have pedals that are fairly close together.
Drivers must have long pants and long shirts while driving. No shorts are permitted. Auto fire suits are highly recommended.
It is the driver’s responsibility to stay hydrated and nourished during events. Driving on track is physically and mentally demanding.
Check your attitudes at the gate. Rent My Viper holds learning events suitable for all skill levels. Drivers and attendees are expected to be respectful of hosts, instructors, other drivers, and themselves. Everyone advances at a different pace, go at your own pace without expectation. If a driver is not responding to instruction and creates a dangerous situation you may be removed from the event.
Passengers may or may not be permitted based on the rules of each venue. Please inquire with an administrator if you wish to bring a passenger to an event. Generally, those in beginner run groups are not permitted to have passengers other than an instructor.
Prices include the Viper, all track fees, damage insurance, fuel, and tires needed for the event. Unless otherwise noted, prices DO NOT include lodging, food/beverage, or personal gear needed for event.
YES! It is a great way to share the experience with a friend, family member, or colleague. Plus you’ll save some money on the track experience.
We recommend booking a Full Day or 2 Day Event to ensure both drivers get adequate instruction and seat time.
*There may be an additional track fee for adding a driver depending on the event. Typically around $200.*

Looking for a private or custom Viper Track Day Experience? Rent My Viper offers the “Maverick” Track Day Experience which is an all inclusive track get-a-way with luxury overnight stay on the track. The “Maverick” experience includes personalized 1 on 1 coaching from the full time instructors and fewer cars on the track. This experience includes 1 night of lodging in the on-track casitas (beautiful rooms and views). It also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by the chef. The track and facility will spoil you. The dates are flexible but are by request only. Track Days can be a weekday or weekend.
The Viper Track Day Experience is focused on HPDE (High Performance Driver Education). All events have instructors present to ensure a safe learning environment. All drivers in the Viper Track Day Experience must go through a driver assessment prior to driving the Viper on a live track.
During the assessment period all drivers will have an instructor in the car. The driver will be placed in the appropriate HPDE run group accordingly. All new drivers of the program will have classroom time and ride-alongs with an instructor. There will also be lead/follow sessions in the Viper to assess your skill level. Once you are cleared for solo track time you are still welcome and encouraged to have an instructor in the car. The instructors are there to help you improve your lap times in a safe and encouraging manor.
